Major discount retailers will begin the main sale of Chuseok gift sets simultaneously starting on September 27. They are diversifying categories from value-for-money to premium products, offering discounts of up to 50%.

Emart will launch its main Chuseok gift set sale for ten days from September 27 to October 6. Customers who pay with a promotional card can receive up to 50% off and Shinsegae gift certificates worth up to 500,000 won, depending on the purchase amount.

Emart analyzed sales data from the pre-order period and decided to extend pre-order benefits for popular items, while also introducing gift sets exclusive to the main sale. In the livestock gift set category, a main sale-exclusive Korean beef set priced in the low 100,000 won range will be offered at a 20% discount. The "Peacock Korean Beef Short Rib and Sirloin Set" (500g sirloin, 800g short rib, marinated sauce) will be sold for 110,400 won during the promotion, and the "Peacock Korean Beef Short Rib Set No. 3" (800g short rib x2, marinated sauce) will be available for 112,000 won.

Some products will offer additional discounts compared to the pre-order period. The "Josun Hotel Wagyu Premium Set" (2.4kg Australian Wagyu) will increase its discount from 20% during the pre-order period to 30% during the main sale for promotional card payments, allowing customers to purchase it for 147,000 won. For seafood gift sets, the pre-order discounted prices will be maintained for all 66 items during the main sale.

Traders will also offer various gift sets at up to 50% off for Shinsegae Point members until Chuseok. Featured products include Australian and American LA-style beef short ribs, premium apple and pear mixed sets, whole barley yellow corvina sets, and Johnnie Walker Blue Label (750ml). Emart Everyday will provide up to 50% off for promotional card payments until Chuseok, along with Shinsegae gift certificates worth up to 800,000 won, depending on the purchase amount.

There are also ultra-value products such as the "Bomok Dwaeji BBQ Lineup Chilled Set" (37,800 won). New items include the "Nonghyup Safe Korean Beef Grade 1 Umakase Chilled Set" (288,000 won) and the "Marinated Mapo Standing Rib Frozen Set" (124,530 won).

For practical seafood gift sets such as seaweed, a "10+1" promotion is being offered. The "Dongwon Yangban Perilla Oil Seaweed Set" and "CJ Bibigo Native Seaweed Set No. 5" are available at 9,900 won, while the "Seonggyeong Gim Paragim Jeongseong Set" and "Gwangcheon Gim Three Generations Master Traditional Seaweed Set" are offered at 12,900 won with the 10+1 benefit.
