Service Launches on the 24th,
Tailored Solutions for Foreign Workers
BNK Busan Bank will become the first regional bank to launch an insurance inquiry service for foreign workers.
BNK Busan Bank (headed by Bang Seongbin) announced on the 23rd that, following the "Gimhae Airport Foreign Worker Departure Maturity Insurance Payment Service" introduced in March, it will launch the "Foreign Worker Exclusive Insurance Inquiry Service" in collaboration with Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance starting from the 24th.
The core of this service is that it implements the same level of inquiry functions as the Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance app for foreign workers within the "BNK Busan Bank Mobile Banking" app. Customers can conveniently check the contract details of mandatory insurance policies for foreign workers, such as departure maturity insurance, repatriation expense insurance, and accident insurance, at any time through the app.
Additionally, the service offers a function to apply for insurance payouts. To ensure that foreign customers who are not fluent in Korean do not experience inconvenience due to complex claim procedures, the app is designed to automatically connect users directly to the Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance foreign customer center. This reduces the difficulties associated with paperwork and administrative processes, enabling prompt and accurate handling through a specialized call center.
Shin Sik, Head of the Personal Customer Group at BNK Busan Bank, stated, "This service goes beyond a simple insurance inquiry function to provide practical financial support that benefits the daily lives of foreign workers," adding, "We will actively promote digital transformation that encompasses both financial and daily life services to enhance convenience for our foreign customers."
