Muju County Operates 'Youth ON Talent Bank'

Expanding Youth Participation in County Administration

Muju County in North Jeolla Province is operating the 'Muju County Youth ON Talent Bank' to expand youth participation in county administration and to establish and promote systematic youth policies.

According to the county on September 23, the 'Youth ON Talent Bank', which was launched in August this year, collects information on young talents aged 18 to 49 residing in the county to build and operate a reliable foundation of data for policy-making.


The purpose is to serve as a basis for establishing and implementing effective policies that reflect the characteristics and needs of young people, as well as to provide various opportunities for public participation to the youth.


Additionally, it is expected to serve as important reference material when formulating basic and action plans for youth, and as a useful foundation for promptly and transparently identifying youth talents suitable for the characteristics of various committees during their formation.


Registration of talent information such as age, educational background, duration of residence, employment status, and areas of policy interest can be completed through the 'Muju Youth ON Talent Bank' menu on the Muju County website. The information registered in the talent bank is classified based on various criteria and is securely managed in a data repository (DB).


Kim Seongok, Head of Population Policy and Population Vitality at Muju County, stated, "The Muju County Youth ON Talent Bank will strengthen communication between youth and the administration, serving as a driving force for sustainable development in Muju. As we have begun full-scale talent registration, we will analyze the status on a quarterly basis to establish an efficient foundation for youth administrative services."
