Doosan Group Executives Visit Amazon, Nvidia, and Stanford HAI in Silicon Valley
Accelerating 'AI Transformation' Across Manufacturing and Office Operations
Doosan Group is accelerating its efforts to find innovative solutions in the global artificial intelligence (AI) field. Doosan Vice Chairman Park Ji-won emphasized, "We must incorporate AI into every possible area to stay ahead in the competition," adding, "There is not much time left."
From September 22 (local time) to September 25, key executives including Vice Chairman Park Ji-won, Doosan Enerbility Vice Chairman Jung Yeon-in, Doosan Corporation President Yoo Seungwoo, and Doosan Robotics Vice President Kim Minpyo are visiting Seattle and Silicon Valley in the United States. Their itinerary includes visits to Amazon, Nvidia, and the Stanford University AI research institute (HAI). President Kim Dowon and other chief strategy officers (CSOs) from the holding company and affiliates are also accompanying the group to discuss the AI innovation roadmap.

The Doosan executives began their schedule by visiting Amazon headquarters, where they examined various AI applications in areas such as customer analytics, logistics operations, and robotic automation. They also reviewed Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud AI tools and explored possibilities for future collaboration. At Nvidia headquarters, they were introduced to the GPU-based AI ecosystem, as well as the latest advancements in "agentic AI" and "physical AI" technologies.
Additionally, they plan to meet with researchers at Stanford University's HAI to share a vision for "human-centered AI." Through meetings with world-renowned scholars such as Professor Choi Yejin, they will review robotics and manufacturing application cases and discuss concrete achievements from the industry-academia partnership established last April. They also plan to engage with startups such as Perplexity and Physical Intelligence.
A Doosan representative stated, "This business trip will serve as a catalyst for Doosan to accelerate AI innovation," adding, "We will continue to seek multifaceted ways to enhance our competitiveness in actual business operations."
