Fourth Edition Focuses on 'Innovate, Integrate, Elevate'
3,500 Developers from LG Affiliates Participate
From Technical Exchange to Developer Growth Support
LG Electronics is hosting the 'LG Software Developer Conference 2025 (LG SDC 2025)' at LG Science Park in Magok for three days starting from September 23, to foster technological exchange and communication among software developers.
Now in its fourth year, the LG Software Developer Conference kicked off under the theme of 'Innovate, Integrate, Elevate.' More than 3,500 developers from LG affiliates, including LG Electronics, LG Energy Solution, and LG CNS, are participating in the event.
This year’s conference focuses on artificial intelligence (AI), cloud, and cybersecurity, with domestic and international experts sharing the latest technology trends and development know-how in each field. Keynote speeches will be delivered by innovation technology leaders from global tech companies, including LG AI Research, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft (MS), Google Cloud, and IBM Quantum.
These leaders will share world-class research achievements and recent case studies of cutting-edge technology applications at global enterprises. They will also present on the changes AI technology will bring, strategies and directions for the AI era, and security strategies. In particular, Yuri Kobayashi, Head of Asia-Pacific at IBM Quantum, is scheduled to provide insights on in-depth topics, such as the challenges and growth potential for the advancement of quantum computing technology.
On the 23rd, at the 'LG Software Developer Conference' held at LG Science Park in Magok, Seoul, Park Inseong, Head of the Software Center in the CTO (Chief Technology Officer) division of LG Electronics, is giving a presentation. LG Electronics.
Global partners such as AWS, Microsoft, Google Cloud, and IBM are also operating demo booths where participants can directly experience the latest development tools and environments. These demo booths offer practical and systematic learning opportunities with technical support from on-site engineers.
In addition to sharing the latest technology trends, this year’s conference features a wide range of community-based exchange programs, enabling participants to freely communicate with experts from various fields and expand collaboration opportunities.
The kernel developer network program, which received positive feedback last year, has been expanded this year to include programs for security and webOS developers. A 'Mentoring & Networking Zone' has also been set up to support developer growth, and a 'Workshop Program' will be held to enhance technical understanding and practical adaptability through hands-on learning.
An LG Electronics representative stated, "In addition to technological exchange, we are actively promoting communication between organizations to increase collaboration opportunities and strengthen synergy among developers from LG affiliates."
The finals of the Software Developer Prompthon, Hacking Competition, and Project Manager Contest will also take place. The Software Developer Prompthon will test creative capabilities in planning and developing customer-centric AI solutions. The Hacking Competition will evaluate security skills, while the Project Manager Contest will assess project management abilities in scenarios similar to real-world situations.
