The 2025 Hwasun Dolmen Autumn Flower Festival will be held for 10 days from October 17 to 26 at the Hwasun Dolmen Heritage Site.

The theme of this year’s festival is "Gaeul Manhwa," meaning "Autumn Flowers in Full Bloom." The event will take place at the UNESCO World Heritage dolmen site, where visitors can enjoy a landscape filled with cosmos and sunflowers.

The most significant change this year is the full introduction of the "Dolmen (DM) Universe." Moving beyond the traditional focus on autumn flowers, the festival will greatly expand experiences related to the Bronze Age, highlighting the historical significance of the dolmen site.

The festival offers a variety of unique experiences that blend modern fun with history, such as "Bronze Age Name Creation" using visitors’ MBTI, "Paljureong Soap Making" using molds shaped after the Paljureong relics excavated in Hwasun, and "Dolmen Bread Making" inspired by the Pingmae Rock formation.

In particular, new attractions for families with children include the "Alpaca Experience Zone" and "Moving Dinosaur Exhibition." The Alpaca Experience Zone, located at the entrance lawn of Daesin-ri Park in Chunyang-myeon, will feature alpacas selected to match children’s height and offer free feeding experiences. Three life-size moving dinosaurs, including a 16-meter Brachiosaurus and a 6-meter Tyrannosaurus placed around the Mulmeong Zone, are expected to spark children’s imaginations and provide adults with a unique spectacle, adding excitement to the festival.

The festival’s performance programs have also become more diverse. The signature "DM (Dolmen Music) Concert" will be held four times, inviting singers across genres such as ballad, retro, dance, and trot, catering to different generations.

Additionally, throughout the festival, a total of 64 performances-including orchestral, band, and local artist shows-will take place on the main stage in Dogok and the lawn plaza in Chunyang.

This year’s festival will feature not only "giant floral sculptures," but also the installation of a "Golden Dolmen" and colorful "Color Dolmens" that break away from traditional perceptions, offering visitors the perfect photo zones and special memories.

Efforts to enhance visitor convenience and revitalize the local economy are also noteworthy. The 5,000 won admission fee will be fully refunded in the form of Hwasun Love Gift Certificates, which can be used throughout Hwasun County, including at the festival site.

Parking facilities have been greatly expanded, with over 2,000 spaces available. Shaded areas and rest zones have been set up, and all food booths are required to use reusable containers, making this an eco-friendly festival.

The festival will be further enriched with various side events, including the 2nd Dogok Agricultural Specialty Festival, the 2025 Hwasun National Youth Dance Competition, and the 22nd Hwasun National Gugak Festival.

Hwasun County Governor Koo Bokgyu stated, "This year’s Autumn Flower Festival has been carefully prepared to add fun and imagination to the unique asset of the UNESCO World Heritage, so that all generations can enjoy it together."
