AI-Based R&D and Educational Collaboration
Enhancing Regional Financial and Industrial Competitiveness
Dong-A University (President Lee Haewoo) announced on September 22 that its College of Software (Dean Lee Seokhwan) has signed an "AI-Based Joint Research and Education Cooperation Agreement" with Korea Housing Finance Corporation and Pusan National University to foster talent and advance technology in the field of artificial intelligence.

The signing ceremony was held on September 10 at the Busan International Finance Center in Nam-gu, Busan, and was attended by Professor Seo Jeongil of Dong-A University College of Software, Yoo Hojae, Head of Business Infrastructure Division at Korea Housing Finance Corporation, and Professor Yoo Younghwan of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Pusan National University.
Through this agreement, the three institutions plan to collaborate in various areas, including: planning and carrying out AI-based joint research and development projects; operating on-site practical training and counseling programs for university students; introducing the latest AI trends and holding technology seminars; and providing testbeds and data for research and development.
Professor Seo Jeongil stated, "Since many students hope to work at financial public enterprises based in Busan, the Dong-A University SW Innovation Center is supporting students' dreams by nurturing AI and software talent," adding, "We will continue to maintain close cooperative relationships with financial public enterprises."
Division Head Yoo Hojae remarked, "This agreement is an example of industry-academia cooperation that aligns with the government's goal to become one of the top three AI powerhouse nations," and added, "We will establish a solid collaborative system to strengthen AI capabilities in the local community and enhance national competitiveness."
