Gijang County in Busan to Begin Second Round of Consumption Coupon Distribution on the 22nd Ahead of Chuseok

Applications Open from September 22
100,000 Won per Resident, Up to 170,000 Beneficiaries

Gijang County (County Governor Jung Jongbok) has completed preparations for the second round of livelihood recovery consumption coupons and will officially begin the distribution process starting on September 22.

In the first round, the county achieved a distribution rate of 99.2%, providing a total of 34.3 billion won to 170,000 residents.

To ensure the smooth implementation of this second round, the county has installed additional computer equipment at township and town administrative welfare centers, and has deployed public officials, temporary workers, and volunteers. Starting on September 22, a dedicated call center will also be operated to handle civil inquiries.

Eligibility for the coupons can be checked from September 22 through the websites, apps, call centers, and ARS of card companies; the local gift certificate app; as well as the K-Bank, Kakao Bank, Toss, Kakao Pay, and Naver Pay apps. Residents may also visit bank branches linked to their cards or township and town administrative welfare centers (for Gijang-eup, the Daehappy Integrated Social Welfare Center) for verification.

The application period runs from September 22 to October 31, and during the first week, a weekday system based on the last digit of one's birth year will be applied (▲22nd: 1,6 ▲23rd: 2,7 ▲24th: 3,8 ▲25th: 4,9 ▲26th: 5,0). Applicants can choose between the Local Love Card (Dongbaekjeon), credit/debit cards, or prepaid cards.

During the Chuseok holiday, applications can still be made through the card company websites, apps, ARS, Dongbaekjeon app, K-Bank, Kakao Bank, Toss, Kakao Pay, and Naver Pay. For offline prepaid cards, residents of Gijang-eup should apply at the Daehappy Integrated Social Welfare Center, while residents of Jangan-eup, Jeonggwan-eup, Ilgwang-eup, and Cheolma-myeon should apply at their respective administrative welfare centers.

County Governor Jung Jongbok stated, "Ahead of the Chuseok holiday, we will do our utmost to ensure that consumption coupons are distributed to residents without any issues," adding, "I hope that prompt distribution will provide practical help in revitalizing local neighborhood businesses."

This second round of consumption coupons will be provided to residents whose household health insurance premiums as of June 2025 are at or below 90% of the standard amount per household, with 100,000 won per person. However, households with a total property tax base exceeding 1.2 billion won in 2024 or total financial income exceeding 20 million won will be excluded.
