Polaris Office to Block Secondary Hacking Damages with "Polaris SecuOne"... Accelerates Security Business Expansion

On September 19, Polaris Office announced that it will strengthen its security business by promoting its mobile security solution, Polaris SecuOne, in response to a series of large-scale corporate hacking incidents and a surge in smishing and phishing damages.

With major companies experiencing repeated large-scale hacking and personal information leaks, and with a sharp increase in smishing and phishing cases involving impersonation of government subsidies and consumer coupons, Polaris Office is planning to actively target the security market by putting Polaris SecuOne at the forefront.

Within the security industry, the secondary damage caused by leaked personal information being reused and spread through text messages, emails, messengers, and documents is emerging as a more serious issue than server or network hacking itself. Polaris Office plans to focus on preventing the spread of such damage by providing mobile device security that combines real-time detection and blocking through Polaris SecuOne.

Polaris SecuOne is a comprehensive mobile security app that integrates AI-based real-time detection of smishing, phishing, and quishing, QR code and URL inspection, malicious app and security vulnerability diagnosis, scheduled scanning, and continuous monitoring features. According to the company, it has strengthened its real-time analysis system for new types of attacks by integrating generative AI technology into its proprietary security solution, VGuard, which is already being used by public and financial institutions.

In particular, the company aims to maximize synergy with HandySoft, a groupware specialist recently acquired by Polaris Office. By linking groupware deployment projects for public institutions and enterprises with sales of Polaris SecuOne, the company plans to simultaneously target government (B2G) and corporate (B2B) clients, and to become a comprehensive security solution provider by expanding its portfolio of security products.

A Polaris Office representative stated, "The real damage from recent hacking incidents arises not from server breaches themselves, but from secondary attacks that exploit leaked personal information. With Polaris SecuOne, we aim to establish a security defense line in everyday life and accelerate the expansion of the security solution market through synergy with HandySoft."

The representative added, "Our goal is to gradually expand our security product lineup and build a comprehensive B2G and B2B portfolio that encompasses office, groupware, and security."
