Lectures, Practical Sessions, and Sports Competitions Planned
Osan City in Gyeonggi Province will hold the "2025 Osan Doggy Festival" at the Companion Animal Theme Park located at 72 Osancheon-ro on September 27.
The festival will feature a lecture and practical session on proper pet culture by Lee Woongjong, head of Isak Pet Training Center, as well as events such as the "Petmily Olympics" with a variety of competitions.
A range of side events for citizens to participate in have also been prepared. The venue will offer booths for pet behavior correction, hygiene grooming, and health consultations, along with hands-on booths for families such as toy making, terrarium crafting, photo booths, and an agility experience zone.
A flea market selling pet-related products will be held at the venue, and there will also be policy promotions to raise awareness about the animal registration system, adoption of abandoned animals, and the TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) program for stray cats.
Lee Kwonjae, Mayor of Osan, said, "I hope this festival will create special memories for citizens and serve as an opportunity to spread a proper companion animal culture."
