Homecoming Tour for Former Residents on October 25-26
The Gochang Culture and Tourism Foundation in North Jeolla Province will host a homecoming familiarization tour, "Gochang Returns Tour: Remember Gochang Night," on October 25 and 26.
According to the foundation on September 19, this familiarization tour was organized to invite former residents who wish to rediscover the beautiful nature and culture of their hometown.
The foundation has prepared a variety of experiential programs so that former residents living outside Gochang, along with their families and acquaintances, can once again experience the unique atmosphere of Gochang and create special memories together.
Applications are open until September 30. To be eligible, the team must be led by a former resident who was born in Gochang and lived there for at least five years but currently resides elsewhere. Teams of two to four people can apply. A total of 30 participants will be selected, and the participation fee is 5,000 won per person, which will be fully refunded in the form of Gochang Love Gift Certificates.
The program includes a Gochang tour with a local biosphere storyteller, visits to Sangha Farm and Gushipo Beach, an exploration of the Ungok Ramsar Wetland, a germanium hot spring experience, and meals and snack packages made with local specialties.
Teams that meet the eligibility and evaluation criteria will be selected from among the applicants. The final list of participants will be announced on the Gochang Culture and Tourism Foundation website on October 2, and individual notifications will also be sent by text message.
Jo Changhwan, Executive Director of the Gochang Culture and Tourism Foundation, stated, "This tour will be a valuable opportunity for former residents and their families to reconnect with the charm of their hometown and strengthen emotional bonds. We hope many former residents will join us to enjoy Gochang's autumn and create warm memories together."
