Held in Yeongdong County, North Chungcheong Province until the 21st

The Ministry of SMEs and Startups announced on the 19th that it will host the "2025 Traditional Market Young Merchants Festival."

This festival will be held for three days until the 21st at the Hasang Parking Lot area in Yeongdong County, North Chungcheong Province. Young merchants from traditional markets and shopping districts across the country will gather to exhibit and sell outstanding products and interact with consumers. In conjunction with the September Companion Festival, which runs until the 30th, outstanding products from Yeongdong Traditional Market, such as salted seafood and Makgeolli, will also be available for purchase.


Centered around young merchants, a variety of enjoyable experiences and food options have been prepared, including flower arranging and keyring doll making. Through the "Young Merchants Outstanding Products Promotion Hall," visitors can discover excellent products from young merchants nationwide, such as Taean seaweed fulvescens, Gwangju sweet bean jelly, acrylic keyrings, and pet diffusers.


In addition, family-friendly events will be held, including performances by the Yeongdong Nankye Gugak Orchestra and world culture performances in connection with the Yeongdong Gugak Expo, which runs until October 11, as well as a trot music stage (September 19), a youth music festival (September 20), and a closing performance (September 21).


Choi Wonyoung, Director of the Small Business Policy Office, stated, "This festival is an opportunity to experience the diverse products of young merchants active in traditional markets and shopping districts," and added, "I hope this will serve as an opportunity to renew awareness of young merchants' products and expand their sales channels."
