Good People (Chairman Lee Yonggi) announced on September 19 that Koryo Savings Bank has donated 3 million won to support national veterans and their families who are struggling with medical expenses in commemoration of the 80th anniversary of Korea’s liberation.

Koryo Savings Bank raised the donation through a customer participation campaign called "Hug the Independence Activists," which was held from August 12 to September 12. The campaign allowed customers of Koryo Savings Bank to donate 1,000 won per click by pressing the "Hug" button on the event page within the Koryo Savings Bank mobile app or website.

The donated funds will be delivered through Good People and Busan Veterans Hospital to national veterans and their families who are in urgent need of medical expense support.

Lee Yonggi, Chairman of Good People, stated, "I sincerely thank everyone who participated in Koryo Savings Bank’s campaign to honor the dedication of national veterans. Good People will continue to do its best to ensure that veterans and their families can lead healthy lives."

Since 2024, Good People and Koryo Savings Bank have been steadily cooperating to practice ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management in partnership with the local community. In April, they established a forest of Dendropanax morbifera, a fire-resistant tree, in Gimhae, South Gyeongsang Province, to help prevent wildfires.
