The district will deliver care packages to approximately 10,000 locations, including neighbors in need and social welfare facilities. It will also support vulnerable groups by providing alternative meals at senior dining facilities and recharging meal cards for children. A comprehensive price control situation room will be operated to inspect the origins of popular holiday goods and agricultural, livestock, and marine products. In cooperation with the Employment and Labor Office, a dedicated service desk for wage arrears will also be run.
A disaster safety situation room will operate 24 hours a day to prepare for unexpected events such as typhoons, and safety inspections will be strengthened at multipurpose facilities, roads, and gas installations. An emergency medical response situation room will be established and operated, and information on the operation of emergency medical institutions and pharmacies will be provided through the district website and social media. The infectious disease prevention system will also be maintained.
Additionally, the district will minimize inconvenience for holiday travelers by operating a traffic management situation room, cracking down on illegal parking, maintaining major roads and parks, and conducting a comprehensive cleaning campaign. Household waste will be collected daily except on Chuseok itself, October 6 and 7, and illegal advertisements will also be removed.
