Increasing Second-Half Hiring Following 2,100 New Employees in the First Half
About 2,500 Annual Hires Planned in the Defense Sector Alone
Hanwha Group will expand its new hiring scale in the second half of the year. The group aims to secure top talent and take the lead in creating jobs for young people as it scales up its businesses in defense, space, shipbuilding, marine, finance, machinery, and services.
On September 18, Hanwha announced that it has increased the number of new hires for the second half of the year across its 30 affiliates to approximately 3,500, which is about 1,400 more than in the first half. Previously, the company hired around 2,100 new employees in the first half, and with the completion of second-half recruitment, the total number of new hires for the year will reach about 5,600.
Hanwha plans to hire about 2,500 people annually in the defense sector alone. The financial affiliates will recruit about 700 people. The annual recruitment numbers by major affiliate are as follows: Hanwha Aerospace 1,100, Hanwha Ocean 800, Hanwha Systems 550, Hanwha Life Insurance 300, Hanwha General Insurance 250, and Hanwha Investment & Securities 200.
A Hanwha representative said, "By expanding new hiring in the second half of the year, we expect to create quality jobs, actively contribute to solving youth employment issues, and help revitalize the domestic economy."
