Photo Zone and Performances to Be Held at Unri Children's Park
Seo-gu District in Gwangju will hold the 'Pungam Night Market Good-Buy Market' at Unri Children's Park on September 19.
According to Seo-gu District on September 18, this event is one of the representative community activities in Pungam-dong, jointly organized by the Pungam-dong Residents' Association and 17 local alley merchants' associations. It has been planned with the goal of revitalizing local alley businesses and restoring the community spirit.
The night market will feature 20 food booths selling a variety of dishes such as chicken, pizza, jokbal (braised pig's feet), jeon (Korean pancakes), street snacks, and desserts. In addition, there will be pop-up stores sponsored by companies, a ground playground, a photo zone, busking performances, and various other programs.
In particular, Seo-gu District will collaborate with the AI-specialized company 'Jilpung Studio' to offer interactive content such as 'Pungtalien Brainlot,' a project to create Pungam-dong's local character, and workshops to make personalized AI goods.
During this event, members of the Pungam-dong Residents' Association and local residents will serve as safety personnel, managing entrances and vehicle traffic areas. Dedicated staff will also be assigned to facilities such as fire safety, electricity, and lighting to help prevent accidents.
Seo-gu District Mayor Kim Ikang stated, "The Pungam Night Market, created through cooperation and solidarity among local residents, is a meaningful event where you can experience the positive influence of 'Good City Seo-gu.' We will do our best to create an even happier community by improving the quality of life for residents and revitalizing local alley businesses within a warm village community."
