Uijeongbu Mayor Kim Donggeun Communicates Policies with Seniors through Special Lecture at Senior College

The city of Uijeongbu, Gyeonggi Province, announced on the 17th that Mayor Kim Donggeun gave a special lecture to about 90 students at the Senior College affiliated with the Uijeongbu City Branch of the Korea Senior Citizens Association on the 16th.

The special lecture was held under the theme "Walking and Enjoying, Growing Together with Citizens in Uijeongbu."


Mayor Kim communicated with the seniors, explaining the city's key policy initiatives, including the creation of a city where seniors want to walk, a city of cultural growth connecting history and records, a city enriched by leisure activities, and a society achieved through the participation of seniors.


Mayor Kim Donggeun said, "I hope that through the curriculum of the Senior College, you will experience a variety of programs and regain vitality in life," adding, "I will continue to promote tangible policies that can be felt and empathized with by communicating with seniors."

Meanwhile, the Senior College affiliated with the Uijeongbu City Branch of the Korea Senior Citizens Association is recruiting students for its 44th class this year. Since the entrance ceremony on April 8, classes have been held every Tuesday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., offering a variety of programs such as retirement management, safety and crime prevention education, laughter therapy, cultural exploration, and digital education.
