The artificial intelligence (AI) special lecture series for citizens, jointly organized by Hoseo University and Hanam City, has sold out all seats amid overwhelming interest. In particular, the hands-on sessions were fully booked within just one minute of registration, underscoring the growing enthusiasm for "AI learning in everyday life."
According to Hoseo University on September 16, the special lecture series was held over a total of 10 sessions, focusing on the latest trends and real-world applications that combine AI technology with business management.
The lectures featured Hoseo University faculty members, including Department Head Cho Junghyun, Professors Lee Sunghui and Kim Hyup, as well as Adjunct Professor Lee Inkyu (CEO of AI education company Wayple), along with industry experts. The curriculum covered a wide range of topics, from basic theory to practical applications in industry and daily life.
Notably, 6 out of the 10 sessions were hands-on workshops, allowing citizens to directly engage with AI technology and experience its practical potential. This approach received a particularly enthusiastic response.
Cho Junghyun, Head of the Department of Business Administration at Hoseo University, stated, "This special lecture series offered citizens the opportunity to experience the integration of AI and business management in their daily lives, helping them adapt to a changing industrial environment. It is significant as an open educational model created through collaboration between the local community and the university."
Meanwhile, Hoseo University's Department of Business Administration is strengthening its integrated curriculum that combines AI, digital transformation, and business innovation. This special lecture series is seen as an example of expanding that approach into the local community.
