Incheon National Industrial Complex Marks 60th Anniversary, Presents Future Vision '4X'

AI Transformation, Carbon Neutrality, Youth, and Investment: A New Paradigm
Minister and Mayor Commendations Awarded to 86 Contributors

The Incheon Regional Headquarters of the Korea Industrial Complex Corporation held the "60th Anniversary Celebration of Incheon National Industrial Complex" on the 12th at the Songdo Central Park Hotel in Incheon, presenting a paradigm shift for the future vision called 4X (AX, GX, YX, NX).


This event was organized to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the Bupyeong National Industrial Complex and the 40th anniversary of the Namdong National Industrial Complex, reflecting on the achievements of the Incheon National Industrial Complex and presenting a vision for the future.

Choi Choonghyuk, head of the Incheon Regional Headquarters of the Korea Industrial Complex Corporation, stated, "We aim to create a new industrial space where workers are happy by fostering advanced industries and securing sustainability," and introduced the 4X paradigm shift strategy for the Incheon National Industrial Complex. The 4X stands for: leading manufacturing innovation through a major artificial intelligence transformation (AX); building a sustainable carbon-neutral industrial complex (GX); creating a K-Industrial Complex (YX) that attracts young people by integrating industry and culture; and revitalizing new business creation and investment by breaking down regulations (NX).


During the event, a total of 86 commendations were awarded to entrepreneurs and workers who contributed to the development of the industrial complex, including 13 commendations from the Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy, 6 from the Mayor of Incheon Metropolitan City, and 5 from the Chairman of the Local Era Committee.


The Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy commendation was given to ten individuals, including Lee Geyoung, CEO of Protec Medical, who strengthened technological competitiveness by securing more than ten patents and other intellectual property rights, and Yoon Hongseop, CEO of Yoon Biotech, who contributed to the localization of medical devices. The Mayor of Incheon Metropolitan City commendation was awarded to six individuals, including Lee Seungsu, CEO of Top Air, who contributed to reducing carbon emissions by developing high-efficiency motors that lower power consumption, and Hong Soonkwon, CEO of DH Tool Tech, who promoted the localization of cutting tools for key automotive parts such as engines.


In addition, Lee Sanghoon, President of the Korea Industrial Complex Corporation, presented plaques of appreciation to eight individuals, including Cho Deokhyung, Chairman of the Juan-Bupyeong Business Association, and Lee Yulgi, Chairman of the Namdong Business Association, in recognition of their contributions to the development of industrial complexes and the revitalization of the local economy.


An industrial site conference was also held under the theme "AI Transformation (AX) and Business Model Innovation: Opening the Future of Industrial Complexes." Professor Yoon Byungdong of Seoul National University delivered a keynote speech on "Manufacturing AI Transformation (MAX)," and Ra Jaegun, Chairman of Dong-A Aluminum, presented a growth strategy through business model innovation.


Meanwhile, the Incheon Regional Headquarters of the Korea Industrial Complex Corporation is holding the "Bupyeong and Namdong Historical Photo Exhibition" during Industrial Complex Week (September 8-14). In the third week of this month, the past and future of the Incheon Industrial Complex will be shared with citizens through cultural side events such as cultural performances and after-work concerts.
