Yecheon County, Gyeongbuk Province held a "Safety Competency Enhancement Training" session for construction project clients in the main auditorium on the 5th floor of the county office.
The training, held on September 10, was organized to raise the level of safety management at construction sites and to prevent industrial accidents.

Officials from public contracting agencies attended the session, which focused on the necessary procedures and precautions required before the commencement of construction projects that include high-risk work types, as well as practical safety management measures that can be applied on site.
County Governor Kim Hakdong emphasized, "To ensure safety at construction sites, the leadership of the client and active involvement from the early stages of the project are essential," adding, "I hope this training will serve as an opportunity to firmly establish a safety-centered culture in project commissioning."
Recently, a significant number of construction site accidents have been attributed to inadequate management during the early stages of commissioning. Yecheon County's recent initiative is expected to serve as a catalyst for spreading the "safety first" principle not only within the region but also throughout all public contracting agencies.
