In collaboration with the Gwangju Design Biennale, two related exhibitions will be held. "Awakening Space: Spaces That Awaken Everyday Life" will take place at venues such as the Gwangju Penguin Village Craft Creation Center and Yangnim Culture Saemteo. This exhibition brings together the fields of art, architecture, and design to reinterpret the context and function of existing spaces. Fifteen artists will participate, presenting 77 works. The exhibition will be open to the public until November 13.
At Kimnaetgwa, located on Geumnam-ro, "Art Blitz Gwangju" will be held. Under the theme "Connection and Inclusion: The Surge of Art After the Pandemic," 50 artists will present 300 works. The exhibition is designed as a festival-type event, featuring interactive sessions between artists and visitors, as well as relay presentation shows among the artists. The exhibition will run from September 18 to November 30.
"A Song for Those Who Do Not Sleep, Nocturne," in collaboration with the Jeonnam International Ink Art Biennale, will be held at the Mokpo University Museum. Based on the question "How far can ink art expand?", the exhibition presents the experimental perspectives of young artists who reinterpret ink art from a contemporary viewpoint. Nineteen artists will present 57 works, and the exhibition will be open to the public until October 29.
In conjunction with the Cheongju Craft Biennale, "Making the World - Making Fun" will be held at the Cheongju Korea Craft Museum. The exhibition offers a glimpse into intriguing works born from the imaginative ideas of young artists. In addition to crafts using various materials such as ceramics, glass, and textiles, media, sound, and installation works will also be presented. Twenty artists will participate, exhibiting 27 works. The exhibition will be open to the public until November 2.
Coinciding with the Jeonbuk World Calligraphy Biennale, the Jeonju Museum of Contemporary Art will host "Youth Era Sound - Jeongeum (正音) Exhibition." This exhibition reinterprets the traditional, contemporary, and cultural values of "Hangeul calligraphy" through the perspectives of young artists. Twenty artists will participate, presenting 50 works, and the exhibition will be open to the public until October 26.
Kim Jangho, CEO of the Arts Management Support Center, stated, "It is highly meaningful that the works of emerging artists are being showcased at the biennale venues," adding, "We will continue to support their creative activities so that their work gains wider recognition and helps strengthen the foundation of the art market."
