As of 2:28 p.m. on this day, the KOSPI was trading at 3,316.13, up 1.72% from the previous session. The index opened at 3,272.20, which was 0.37% higher than the previous close, and continued to gain throughout the session.
This marks the first time in four years and two months that the KOSPI has set a new intraday record, surpassing its previous high of 3,316.08 on June 25, 2021.
Foreign investors have purchased 1.1438 trillion won, while institutions have bought 861 billion won, driving the upward trend. Individual investors, on the other hand, have sold 1.9899 trillion won.
