Gyeonggi Province dispatched the "K-Beauty China Trade Promotion Delegation" to Guangzhou and Chongqing, China, achieving 200 business consultations and facilitating contracts worth a total of 5.82 million US dollars.
On September 10, Gyeonggi Province announced that, in order to expand export channels for the K-Beauty sector in China-the top importer of Korean cosmetics-the province sent a trade promotion delegation to Guangzhou on September 2 and to Chongqing on September 4, where they held business consultations with 35 local companies.
The trade promotion delegation achieved a total of 200 consultations and facilitated contracts worth a combined 5.82 million US dollars. In particular, three business agreements were signed on-site with local buyers who showed strong interest in Korean K-Beauty products.
A representative from Selficoslab Co., Ltd., based in Hwaseong and one of the companies that signed a business agreement, said, "It was a meaningful experience to gain insights into the Chinese market and to network with a variety of influential buyers. The support program from Gyeonggi Province was extremely helpful, and I hope that various forms of support for local companies will continue in the future."
Park Kyungseo, Director of International Trade at Gyeonggi Province, stated, "Through the dispatch of the K-Beauty China Trade Promotion Delegation, we have secured additional market opportunities for local companies in the largest K-Beauty market. We hope that exports of K-Beauty products by small and medium-sized enterprises in the province will continue to expand in China."
