Starship Entertainment announced on September 9 that Dayoung of the group WJSN will release her first solo album, nine years after her debut.

On this day at 6 p.m., Dayoung will release her first digital single, "gonna love me, right?," through various music streaming platforms. Dayoung participated directly in the planning, lyric writing, and composition of this album, which centers on themes of confidence and love.

"gonna love me, right?" includes three tracks: the title song "body," "number one rockstar," and "marry me."

The title track "body" features Dayoung's refreshing vocals layered over a punchy beat and an addictive hook. It defines the idea that "emotions and attitude reach first, even before words," and expresses how to convey one's feelings on stage without saying a word.

Dayoung has been active for nine years as a member of WJSN and the unit group WJSN Chocome, and with this solo album, she plans to showcase her vocals, rap, and performance skills.
