Contemporary Art Meets Luxury Shopping: Lotte Department Store Busan Main Branch Hosts "Art in AVENUEL" Exhibition

Lotte Department Store Busan Main Branch is hosting the "Art in AVENUEL" exhibition until September 21, transforming the department store into a gallery-like space to provide customers with a unique cultural and shopping experience.

This exhibition features works by three leading contemporary artists: Kang Minki, Lee Hunsang, and Mita.

By installing paintings, sculptures, and other works across key areas of the department store, the exhibition is designed to allow visitors to naturally experience art as part of their everyday shopping.

In particular, by combining the luxurious atmosphere of the Avenuel space with contemporary art content, the exhibition offers a new sensory experience that goes beyond a simple retail environment, using art as a medium. Customers can enjoy both the artworks and shopping, experiencing firsthand how art becomes integrated into daily life.

At Gallery T, located on the second floor of Avenuel, artist Kim Younggon is holding a solo invitational exhibition titled "Dreaming Afternoon." Featuring around 30 paintings, including his representative series "Dream Boy" and "Dream Girl," the exhibition aims to deliver comfort and inspiration to visitors, just as its title suggests-a brief moment of dreaming and happiness amid busy daily life.

Kim Younggon is well known for capturing fleeting moments of everyday life in his work, depicting scenes that evoke empathy and comfort through simple and intuitive expression rather than elaborate technique.
