Large Retailers, SMEs, and Small Businesses Unite... Busan City Hosts 'Busan Living Market' with Companion Festival

The "Busan Living Market," which brings together products from both large corporations and small and medium-sized enterprises to boost consumer sentiment, has opened.

The Busan Metropolitan Government (Mayor Park Hyungjoon) announced that the "Busan Living Market" will be held for seven days from September 8 to 14 at the Central Plaza on Basement Level 2 of the Shinsegae Department Store Centum City branch. This event is organized in conjunction with the nationwide consumption promotion event "September Companion Festival," hosted by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups.

The "Busan Living Market" is a special sales exhibition for mutual growth between large and small businesses, showcasing products closely related to daily life all in one place. Twenty-four local companies are participating, offering a variety of household goods, kitchen and bathroom items, preserved foods, and more.

There are also activities for citizens to enjoy. A photo zone is set up at the venue, and on weekends, the city's official character "Boogi" will make a surprise appearance. At the "Sodam Square Busan" booth, a lucky draw event will be held for customers, giving away an average of 250 local small business products as prizes each day.

Additionally, during the event period, a live commerce broadcast will take place at the Central Plaza, featuring 10 vendors from Busan Peace Market and 4 vendors from Dongbaek Sanghoe. Products such as men's and women's clothing, fashion accessories, and traditional foods will be sold. By searching for "Sodam Square Busan" on Naver Shopping Live, viewers can watch the broadcast in real time.

Kim Bongcheol, Director of the Digital Economy Bureau of Busan Metropolitan Government, emphasized, "We expect this event to serve not only as a sales exhibition but also as an opportunity to boost domestic demand and revitalize consumption. We hope citizens will participate, enjoy, and help invigorate the local economy."
