This Living Lab was operated as a citizen-led participatory program, where residents directly identified urban issues and proposed solutions. In the first session, participants envisioned the vision and future of Seongnam as a smart city. In the second and third sessions, they shared inconveniences in 10 areas of daily life, including transportation, environment, and safety, and discussed solutions utilizing advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) and the Internet of Things (IoT). The fourth session served as a final report and performance sharing event, during which 32 smart service ideas proposed by citizens were released, and their priorities were determined.

On the same day, an awards ceremony for the "Seongnam City Smart City Idea Contest" was also held. A total of 113 ideas were submitted, and after two rounds of evaluation, five outstanding works were selected. The grand prize was awarded to "Smart Library Platform: From Offline Bookshelves to Offline."

Mayor Seong Sangjin stated, "This smart city plan is significant because it reflects the voices of citizens, rather than being a one-sided, expert-driven plan," adding, "We will continue to communicate with our citizens and create a smart city in Seongnam that people can truly experience."

Seongnam City plans to actively incorporate the citizen ideas discovered through this Living Lab and the contest into future smart city policies, aiming to expand sustainable and innovative urban services.
