This call for participants is open to a wide range of genres, including singing, instrumental performances, dance, and other acts. Any artist whose address is registered in Yecheon County as of the announcement date is eligible to apply. A total of 12 teams will be selected, each given approximately 25 minutes to perform, and each team will receive a performance support grant of 300,000 won.
This year's festival will take place over three days, from October 4 to October 6, at the Samgang Cultural Complex. Under the slogan "Joyfully at Samgang! Warmly at the Jumak!", the festival aims to provide a vibrant autumn celebration for returning visitors and local residents alike.
During the festival, a variety of performances, hands-on experiences, and food programs will come together to transform the venue into a complex cultural space where tradition and modernity meet.
Chairman Kim Hakdong stated, "The participation of local artists will enhance the quality of the festival and offer visitors a unique cultural experience. We invite both residents and tourists to take a keen interest in and actively participate in this festival, where everyone can come together."
Applications can be submitted via email or in person. Detailed information and application forms are available in the notices section on the Yecheon Culture and Tourism Foundation website. For inquiries, please contact the foundation's tourism festival team.
"This year, the Yecheon Samgang Jumak Naruteo Festival, which embodies the identity of the region, is even closer to local artists. The stage is not just a performance venue, but a place for communication where residents and artists create culture together. We hope this recruitment will help broaden the scope of Yecheon’s culture and strengthen the competitiveness of the local festival."
