Soccer player Son Heungmin reportedly earned a capital gain of over 3 billion won after selling his luxury apartment 'Trimage' located in Seongsu-dong, Seongdong-gu, Seoul, eight years after his purchase. At the same time, it has been confirmed that another soccer star, Lee Geunho, also moved to a larger unit with a Han River view within Trimage.

Son Heungmin Purchased for 2.445 Billion Won, Sold for 5.5 Billion Won

According to the real estate industry, Son Heungmin sold his 140.3㎡ (42-pyeong) Trimage unit for 5.5 billion won in March of this year. He had purchased the apartment in May 2017, when occupancy began, for 2.4446 billion won. Comparing only the purchase and sale prices, he made a profit of more than 3 billion won in eight years.

The unit owned by Son Heungmin was located on a mid-level floor of a 'royal building' with a view of the Han River, featuring three bedrooms and two bathrooms. This transaction set the highest price for the same unit size as of March this year. Trimage has continued to see price increases, with a record-high transaction of 6 billion won in June.

In addition to Trimage, Son Heungmin also purchased a Hyundai Apartment in Apgujeong-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, for 2.2 billion won in 2016. Last year, he drew attention by signing a contract for an ultra-luxury penthouse with a pre-sale price of 40 billion won.

Lee Geunho Purchased 'Royal Building' Unit in Trimage for 5.65 Billion Won

Former national soccer team player Lee Geunho purchased a 140㎡ exclusive unit in Trimage for 5.65 billion won last June.

Former national soccer team player Lee Geunho also completed a real estate transaction within Trimage. According to court registry documents, Lee Geunho purchased a 140㎡ exclusive Trimage unit for 5.65 billion won in June. He sold his previously owned 84㎡ (25-pyeong) unit for 4.95 billion won and moved to a larger unit located along the Han River. The transaction was conducted under joint ownership with his wife.

Trimage is well-known for being home to many celebrities and sports stars. In addition to Son Heungmin and Lee Geunho, it has been reported that former swimmer Park Taehwan, Girls' Generation members Taeyeon and Sunny, and Super Junior members Leeteuk and Choi Siwon have either lived there or are currently residing there.
