The original soundtrack (OST) "Golden" from the Netflix animated film "K-Pop Demon Hunters" has maintained the No. 1 spot on the UK's Official Singles Chart Top 100 for five consecutive weeks.
According to the Official Charts on the 5th (local time), "Golden" held onto the top position for another week, once again beating Olivia Dean's "Man I Need."
"Golden" is performed by the fictional girl group Huntrix from the film, and was composed by Lee Jae, a former SM Entertainment trainee, and sung by singers Audrey Nuna and Ray Ami. All three performers are Korean American.
Debuting at No. 93 on the singles chart, "Golden" climbed to No. 31, No. 20, No. 9, No. 4, No. 1, and No. 2, before returning to No. 1 for four consecutive weeks, including this week. The song has also held the No. 1 position on the US Billboard Hot 100 for three consecutive weeks.
Meanwhile, "Soda Pop," a song by the rival boy group Saja Boys from the film, ranked No. 5, while "Your Idol" landed at No. 8.
Additionally, the OST "Takedown," performed by Twice members Jeongyeon, Jihyo, and Chaeyoung, ranked No. 24, bringing the total number of OST tracks from the film on the Official Singles Chart to four. Twice's "Strategy" placed at No. 32, Blackpink's "Jump" at No. 34, Cat's Eye's "Gabriela" at No. 46, Ros?'s "APT" at No. 51, and Stray Kids' "Ceremony" at No. 87.
The Official Charts commented, "K-pop is dominating this week, with six tracks making it into the Top 40."
