On September 5, Yeosu City announced that it will promote the '2026 Yeosu World Island Expo' through the '2025 Yeosu NH Cup Professional Volleyball Tournament' to be held at Jinnam Gymnasium on the 13th.
On August 25, the city signed a business agreement with KBS N for the promotion of the Island Expo. All matches of the upcoming tournament will be broadcast live on television, and virtual advertisements for the Island Expo will be aired nationwide during the broadcast.
In addition, the city will display a variety of promotional messages during the broadcast through in-arena board advertisements, including the Island Expo logo, the theme 'Islands: Connecting the Sea and the Future,' the event period, and phrases such as 'Come to Yeosu.'
During the tournament, the 2026 Yeosu World Island Expo Organizing Committee will set up a promotional booth at the gymnasium to introduce the significance and content of the Expo. There will also be a social media subscription event, a photo zone, and a variety of giveaways such as keychains, shower balls, and grip tok featuring the official mascot 'Daseomi,' all designed to encourage natural participation and interest from visitors.
A city official stated, "This professional volleyball tournament will be a great opportunity to widely share the vision of the Island Expo with both spectators at the venue and viewers watching the broadcast. Through promotion that links sports and tourism, we will generate nationwide interest and participation in the '2026 Yeosu World Island Expo.'
