Motorola's Razr 60 Series Drives Growth
Samsung's Market Share Drops from 21% to 9%, Falls to Third Place
In the global foldable smartphone market, Motorola has surpassed Samsung Electronics to rise to second place in market share.

According to market research firm Counterpoint Research on September 5, Motorola recorded a 28% share of the global foldable phone market in the second quarter of this year, thanks to strong sales of its latest Razr 60 series. This is double the 14% share from the same period last year.
Huawei took first place with a 45% market share. Huawei's share increased by 13 percentage points compared to the same period last year. During this period, Samsung Electronics' share fell from 21% to 9%, placing it third.
Counterpoint Research analyzed that Motorola's foldable phone shipments in the United States nearly tripled, and total global foldable phone shipments surged by 45% compared to the same period last year.
Park Jinseok, lead researcher, commented on Samsung's performance, stating, "Sales of the Galaxy Fold7 more than doubled compared to the Galaxy Fold6 during the same period," and added, "Samsung is expected to post strong results in the third quarter."
