This year, as the foundation implements this project for the first time, it will operate more than 15 hands-on daily life education sessions for 257 adults with developmental disabilities from 20 support institutions nationwide, selected through a public application process.
The curriculum consists of practical training to develop essential daily life skills, including self-health management, financial management, and community utilization, as well as real-life programs such as using public transportation, self-checkout payment, and simple cooking.
Jang Hyesun, Chairperson of the Lotte Scholarship Foundation, stated, "People with developmental disabilities can master and follow what they learn if they receive appropriate education," adding, "We hope to see the educational system for them expand."
