Gyeonggi Province to Invest 3 Billion Won in Issuing 370,000 Culture Consumption Coupons to Boost Domestic Demand

Gyeonggi Province, in collaboration with the Gyeonggi Tourism Organization, will officially launch the "Gyeonggi Culture Pass" cultural consumption coupon program for Gyeonggi residents starting September 15, 2025.

The Gyeonggi Culture Pass is a Gyeonggi-style "cultural consumption coupon" support program that follows the government's initiative to stimulate the domestic economy and stabilize livelihoods through the distribution of cultural consumption coupons.

Applications for the cultural consumption coupons can be submitted starting at 9:00 a.m. on September 15 through the "Gyeonggi Culture Pass App."

To expand residents' access to cultural experiences in daily life and revitalize the stagnant culture and tourism industries, Gyeonggi Province will allocate 3 billion won in provincial funds to issue a total of 370,000 cultural consumption coupons.

The issued coupons can be used at partner businesses including CGV (movies), Ticketlink (performances, exhibitions, sports), and Yanolja (accommodations, activities).

The coupon amounts by category are 5,000 won for movies, performances, exhibitions, sports, and activities, and 10,000 won for accommodations. Each individual can receive support of up to 25,000 won per year.

Through this program, residents can enjoy practical benefits across a wide range of cultural and leisure activities, from watching movies to attending performances, exhibitions, sports games, and booking accommodations and activities.

In anticipation of the full launch of the Gyeonggi Culture Pass, Gyeonggi Province will hold a pre-registration event from September 5 to 14 to encourage greater resident participation.

Participation details can be found on the "Gyeonggi Culture Pass" page within the Gyeonggi Tourism Platform (https://ggtour.or.kr).

Gyeonggi Province will select 100 participants by lottery and present them with a 20,000 won transportation card.

Jang Hyangjeong, Director of the Tourism Industry Division of Gyeonggi Province, stated, "The Gyeonggi Culture Pass is more than just a coupon support program; it will serve as a turning point that brings culture closer to residents in their daily lives and injects new vitality into the local cultural industry."
