Samsung Unveils AI Home Vision at IFA 2025 in Berlin
AI Appliances for Personalized Lifestyles and a Sustainable Future
Introducing Micro RGB TV, Robot Vacuum, and New Galaxy Devices
Samsung Electronics has unveiled its strategy to redefine the concept of "home" with artificial intelligence (AI) appliances. The company aims to go beyond mere convenience, offering appliance experiences optimized for users' lifestyles. Samsung even announced a concrete ambition: within three years, one billion Samsung AI devices will be present in households worldwide.
On September 4 (local time), at the IFA 2025 trade show in Berlin, Germany, Samsung Electronics held its "Samsung Press Conference" and introduced its "AI Home" vision. Kim Chulki, Vice President and Head of the Device Solutions Division at Samsung Electronics, addressed an audience of about 800 media representatives and partners from around the globe, stating, "Within the next three years, one billion AI devices will spread to households worldwide," and emphasized, "Samsung Electronics' AI Home experience will become a part of customers' daily lives at an unprecedented pace."

Samsung Electronics introduced AI Home, which leverages organically connected AI products to understand users and offer precisely tailored solutions according to the situation. The company aims for "Ambient AI" that seamlessly blends into users' lives without drawing attention. By analyzing environmental and behavioral patterns such as temperature, lighting, sound, and movement, it provides real-time, personalized experiences as an integral part of daily life. Samsung highlighted four core experiences through real-world scenarios: ▲Ease ▲Care (health and safety) ▲Save (time and energy efficiency) ▲Secure (robust security).
AI Home allows users to check the weather and schedule via the Galaxy smartphone's "Now Brief" and automatically controls air conditioning and lighting based on habits. When leaving home, it minimizes energy consumption and activates security mode. The "Family Care" feature detects abnormal patterns in connected appliances and smartphone usage, sending alerts even when parents live apart. The robot vacuum monitors the home, and the "Pet Care" feature plays calming content when it detects a pet barking.
At the conference, Benjamin Brown, Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) and Vice President of Samsung Electronics Europe, Lee Sangwook, Vice President of the Visual Display Business CX Team, and sleep scientist Vanessa Hill took the stage to explain in detail how Samsung's AI technology will transform daily life, meals, health, sleep, and more.
When CMO Brown, who frequently appears in new product and technology videos, introduced the "Gochujang Pasta Sauce Cookie" on stage, it was met with enthusiastic applause from the audience. Before the conference, Samsung distributed Gochujang cookies-made from recipes recommended by AI Home devices such as the Bespoke AI Refrigerator using ingredients found in the fridge-to every seat in the audience.

Samsung Electronics especially emphasized energy efficiency and security as part of its efforts to realize a sustainable future through AI Home.
By connecting high-efficiency AI appliances with Samsung SmartThings, energy savings of up to 15% for refrigerators, up to 70% for washing machines, and up to 30% for air conditioners are possible. Samsung also explained that it is collaborating with UK energy suppliers such as British Gas and Cool Blue, while expanding its Net Zero program to the United States, Sweden, and other countries. Robust security is provided through "Samsung Knox," which offers multiple solutions such as Knox Matrix, Dashboard, and Vault.
Samsung Electronics introduced key innovations for implementing AI Home and delivering personalized experiences: ▲"Bespoke AI" for appliances ▲"Vision AI" for displays ▲"Galaxy AI" for mobile devices, and showcased a wide range of new products equipped with these technologies.
The event also featured the unveiling of the 2025 model robot vacuum cleaner, now more powerful thanks to "Bespoke AI." The new "Steam Clean Station" sterilizes 99.999% of bacteria on mop surfaces with high-temperature steam, while RGB cameras and sensors can even detect colorless, transparent liquids. The "Pop Out Combo" function extends brushes and mops to clean corners and walls, eliminating blind spots. The new robot vacuum cleaner is scheduled for release in the second half of this year.

Other new products unveiled included: ▲a hood-integrated induction cooktop ▲a 115-inch "Micro RGB TV" ▲"The Moving Style," a portable screen with a built-in battery ▲and the "Sound Tower," a speaker with exceptional mobility.
Additionally, Samsung introduced the "Vision AI Companion," which understands, interacts with, and assists users. It not only provides TV content information through natural conversations but also understands the context of various questions and delivers appropriate answers. To offer an even more advanced Vision AI Companion experience, Samsung is strengthening partnerships with AI tech companies such as Google, Microsoft, and Perplexity.
Vice President Kim Chulki stated, "We are making AI Home a reality, where the system understands users and adapts to them automatically," adding, "With innovative products and AI technology, you can enjoy an easy, convenient, and safe future in the AI Home right now."
