Seungsan Co., Ltd. (Lakai Sandpine Resort, Sandpine Golf Club) donated bottled water worth 30 million won to the citizens of Gangneung who are struggling due to severe drought.
The Korean Red Cross (President Kim Cheolsoo) announced that on September 3, Heo Inyoung, CEO of Seungsan Co., Ltd. (Lakai Sandpine Resort), donated bottled water worth 30 million won to Gangneung citizens struggling with a severe drought through the Korean Red Cross.
The Korean Red Cross first delivered 80 bottles of 500ml bottled water each to 150 vulnerable households in Gangneung that are partnered with the Red Cross. Starting September 4, the organization plans to provide bottled water to vulnerable groups, including basic livelihood security recipients, in cooperation with local administrative welfare centers.

Heo Inyoung, CEO of Seungsan Co., Ltd. (Lakai Sandpine Resort, Sandpine Golf Club), stated, "I hope this will be of some help to the residents of Gangneung, who are suffering from an unprecedented drought." In line with Gangneung City's water restrictions, Seungsan Co., Ltd. has suspended operations of the resort sauna, "The Ranipool," and the hot and cold baths at the golf club to participate in water conservation efforts.
Kim Cheolsoo, President of the Korean Red Cross, said, "Gangneung has been experiencing a severe shortage of water for daily use throughout this summer due to the drought. This donation from Seungsan Co., Ltd. and Lakai Sandpine Resort will be a great support to the affected residents."
