App Transactions and High-Value Deals Surge

Junggonara announced on September 3 that the number of fraud reports has dropped by about 80% within a month of implementing the "Safe Guarantee Project," showing positive effects.


Junggonara launched a large-scale Safe Guarantee Project at the end of July to create a safer trading environment and strengthen user protection. The core of the project was a comprehensive overhaul of the safety transaction system for all services targeting approximately 28 million Junggonara members, including unifying the safe payment system within the platform, strengthening the identity verification process for cafe sellers, and operating a safe compensation program.

An analysis of the project's first month showed that the number of transaction damage reports in the Junggonara cafe last month decreased by 77% compared to June, the month before the project was implemented. The number of suspected fraud reports within the app also fell by 47% compared to June and by 19% compared to the previous month, indicating a steady improvement in transaction reliability.


Thanks to the expansion of the safe payment system, app-based transactions also showed a clear upward trend. As of last month, the number of new app sign-ups and transactions increased by 43% and 23%, respectively, compared to June, marking the highest levels this year. With enhanced transaction safety, the total value of high-priced items traded for over 5 million won also increased 3.7 times (270%) compared to June.


Junggonara plans to continue introducing various new features this month, including the implementation of an integrated shipping fee payment system and the advancement of artificial intelligence (AI)-powered product listing functions.
