Pocheon City in Gyeonggi Province will increase the recharge incentive for the Pocheon Love Gift Certificate from the current 10% to 15% until the end of the year (or until the budget is exhausted).
This measure aims to support local small business owners in areas designated as special disaster zones due to heavy rain damage, and to revitalize the sluggish local economy.
The monthly recharge limit per individual is 800,000 won, and with this expanded measure, the maximum benefit increases from the previous 80,000 won to up to 120,000 won. In addition, a separate cashback program provides 10% of the payment amount, allowing users to receive up to an additional 80,000 won in benefits per month.
The paper-type Pocheon Love Gift Certificate can be purchased up to 200,000 won per person per month, with a 15% discount rate applied at the time of purchase.
An official from Pocheon City stated, "Local residents and small business owners are facing significant difficulties due to flood damage. We hope that expanding the benefits of the Pocheon Love Gift Certificate will boost consumer sentiment and lead to the recovery of the local economy."
