Guri City in Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Baek Kyunghyun) announced on the 1st that it held the '8th Term Public Pledge Project Citizen Evaluation Group Appointment Ceremony' on the 28th at the situation room on the 3rd floor of city hall.

On this day, Baek Kyunghyun, mayor of Guri City, presented appointment letters to a total of 24 citizen evaluation group members, including 22 reappointed members and 2 newly appointed members. Kim Seokjung, former chairman of the Guri City Residents' Autonomy Council, was elected as the head of the evaluation group, and Song Gyuyoung, former secretary-general of the Guri chapter of the Korea Freedom Federation, was elected as the deputy head.


During the subsequent review meeting, an overall evaluation was conducted on the current status of Guri City's public pledge projects. As a result, 104 out of a total of 142 projects, or 73.2%, were found to be completed, and the implementation status was rated as 'appropriate.'


Baek Kyunghyun, mayor of Guri City, stated, "Now that we have passed the halfway point of the 8th term, this is a crucial time to fulfill our promises to the citizens," adding, "Together with the citizen evaluation group, we will enhance the completeness of the public pledge projects and ensure the realization of our city administration goal of 'Joyful Change, Happier Guri City.'"


Meanwhile, the Citizen Evaluation Group for Public Pledge Projects plays a role in directly inspecting the progress of pledges from the citizens' perspective and providing feedback. The city plans to further strengthen responsible administration with citizen participation throughout the implementation of pledges by operating the evaluation group in a more substantive manner.
