Gyeonggi Fire Department Conducts 'Fire Safety Inspection' at Kia Autoland Gwangmyeong

On September 1, the Gyeonggi-do Fire and Disaster Headquarters visited the Kia Autoland Gwangmyeong plant to inspect the fire safety management status of a large automobile manufacturing factory and conducted an on-site safety inspection.


Kia Autoland Gwangmyeong is the first factory in Korea equipped with its own automobile production line, dedicated exclusively to complete vehicle manufacturing.

On this day, the provincial Fire and Disaster Headquarters, together with the Gwangmyeong Fire Station, inspected the safety management of the electric vehicle battery storage warehouse and hazardous materials handling facilities, checked the operation of disaster prevention systems such as sprinklers and fire extinguishing equipment, and reviewed emergency evacuation routes.


Kim Jaebyung, Head of the Gyeonggi-do Fire and Disaster Headquarters, stated, "Kia Autoland Gwangmyeong is more than just a production base; it is a symbolic site representing the company's growth into a global enterprise. Fire prevention is directly linked to protecting the company and safeguarding the future of its employees, and this inspection was conducted to further reinforce safety awareness on site."
