Managing Blood Pressure, Blood Sugar, and Cholesterol
Preventing Cardiovascular and Cerebrovascular Diseases
Yangsan City Public Health Center in South Gyeongsang Province will conduct the "Know Your Cardiovascular Numbers - Red Circle Campaign" in collaboration with the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency and local governments nationwide, in recognition of Cardiovascular and Cerebrovascular Disease Prevention and Management Week (September 1-7).
The Red Circle (Healthy Blood Vessels) Campaign has been promoted since 2014, aiming to encourage people to know and manage their blood pressure, blood sugar, and cholesterol levels in order to prevent cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases.
Accordingly, Yangsan City Public Health Center plans to operate health booths at various locations throughout the city during the month of September. At these booths, a range of health consultations and educational programs will be provided, including blood pressure and blood sugar measurements.
An official from Yangsan City Public Health Center stated, "Prevention is crucial when it comes to cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases," and added, "This campaign will serve as an important opportunity for early detection and prevention."
Through this campaign, Yangsan City Public Health Center will make multifaceted efforts to help citizens assess their health status and lead healthy lives through consistent management and practice.
