"From Digital Addiction to Drugs"... Seeking Recovery in the Dopamine Society

'2025 Good Brain Conference'
to Be Held at Westin Josun Seoul Hotel on September 3

Asia Economy will host the '2025 Good Brain Conference' on September 3 at the Westin Josun Seoul Hotel in Sogong-dong, Jung-gu, Seoul, bringing together leading domestic brain experts and authorities in addiction treatment. Since its inception in 2022, the Good Brain Conference has provided a forum to explore medical and scientific approaches to brain health, examine the present and future of prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of brain diseases, and suggest policy directions to support these efforts.

This year, under the theme 'Healing in the Dopamine Society: Designing Recovery in the Age of Addiction,' the conference will address issues such as digital addiction, drug problems, and the crisis of adult mental health faced by modern individuals and society, while seeking solutions for recovery.

The event will open with a keynote speech by Jaeseung Jeong, Professor of Brain and Cognitive Sciences at KAIST and Korea’s leading authority in brain science. This will be followed by lectures from Haekook Lee, Professor of Psychiatry at Uijeongbu St. Mary's Hospital, Catholic University of Korea; Yooseok Ahn, Professor of Psychiatry at Seoul National University Hospital; Byungkyu Kim, Professor of Business Administration at Yonsei University; and Kyuhyung Heo, Director of Yonsei Gasansup Mental Health Clinic. Kyungpil Nam, CEO of the Eungu Foundation and former Governor of Gyeonggi Province, will discuss the risks of drug addiction in everyday life.

Additionally, under the moderation of Jaeheon Kang, President of the Korean Society of Digital Therapeutics and Professor of Family Medicine at Kangbuk Samsung Hospital, Sungji Kang, CEO of Welt; Kyungnam Kim, CEO of Waisen; and Geonseok Lee, Professor of Psychiatry at Hanyang University Hospital, will share insights on real-world applications and future potential of digital therapeutics for mental health.
