On August 28, Lee Siyoung posted on her Instagram with the hashtag '2025 Sydney Marathon' and wrote, "I'm heading to Sydney." She continued, "I've been working out diligently throughout my pregnancy-especially focusing on my lower body... I have also kept up with running and received approval from my obstetrician," adding, "My conditioning coach, who will accompany me through every step of the marathon, is coming along as well." She went on to say, "When I was pregnant with my first child, Jungyoon, I participated in three marathons, including a half marathon. This time, I'm not doing a half marathon but rather the 10km event in Sydney, so I plan to take it easy."

The following day, after arriving in Sydney, Lee Siyoung posted again, addressing her son: "Let's do our best to run together, the three of us-including your sibling in my belly! We have to finish the race no matter what."

Previously, on July 8, Lee Siyoung announced through social media that she was pregnant with her second child after undergoing a frozen embryo transfer. She had announced her divorce in March of this year.

Currently Pregnant with Second Child via Frozen Embryo Transfer

At the time, Lee Siyoung wrote on social media, "I am currently pregnant," and explained, "The reason I am sharing this news myself is because I believe it is better to prevent any misunderstandings or speculation that may arise in the future." She further elaborated, "During my marriage, I prepared for a second child through IVF, but a long time passed without actually having the fertilized embryo transferred, and naturally, discussions about divorce also took place." She continued, "As all legal matters were being resolved, the five-year storage period for the frozen embryo was coming to an end, and I had to make a decision. Just before the embryo was to be discarded, I personally decided to proceed with the transfer," adding, "Although my former spouse did not agree, I intend to fully bear the responsibility for my decision."

In response, her ex-husband stated, "I was initially opposed, but I will fulfill my responsibilities." Lee Siyoung's ex-husband, Mr. Cho, said, "It is true that I did not agree to the second pregnancy, but now that we have a second child, I will fulfill my responsibilities as a father. Since we have our first child, we have maintained regular contact. We will also discuss and do our best to cooperate regarding the birth and upbringing of our second child."

Lee Siyoung married Mr. Cho, a renowned restaurateur, in September 2017, and gave birth to their son four months later, in January of the following year. However, after eight years of marriage, the couple eventually separated.
