Recruitment of Participants for 'Goyang IR Day'

Goyang Special City in Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Lee Donghwan) announced on August 30 that it is recruiting startup companies to participate in the '2025 Startup Audition, Goyang IR Day Beyond Challenge,' a venue for entrepreneurs and investors to connect, with the aim of discovering outstanding startups and venture companies.

Eligible applicants are startups established within the past seven years that are either based in Goyang Special City or plan to relocate to the city.
Applications will be accepted until September 19. Twenty companies will be selected in the first round through a document review, and then ten companies will be chosen after a presentation evaluation.
The companies selected through the presentation evaluation will receive support through programs designed to enhance their pitching capabilities, including investment attraction training and one-on-one in-depth mentoring by experts in the relevant fields.
In addition, the final ten selected companies will be granted the opportunity to participate in the '2025 Startup Audition, Goyang IR Day Beyond Challenge,' which is scheduled to be held at Ilsanseo-gu Office on October 30. They will be able to take part in investment attraction and evaluation with accelerators and venture capitalists, as well as item validation and networking activities.
A city official stated, "Among the companies recently selected at Goyang IR Day, Topolab Co., Ltd. in 2022, Deepflapt Co., Ltd. in 2023, and ControlM Co., Ltd. in 2024 have continued to grow through follow-on investments after securing seed funding," adding, "We hope many innovative startups will take advantage of the opportunities offered by Goyang IR Day."
