On August 30, a heavy rain advisory was issued for the southwestern region of Seoul, resulting in the closure of all 29 streams in the city, including Cheonggyecheon and Anyangcheon.
In response to the rainfall, the Seoul Metropolitan Government activated Level 1 of its response protocol at 2:35 a.m. on the same day. A total of 1,336 public officials (355 from the city government and 981 from district offices) are currently on duty to manage the situation.
Three rainwater pumping stations are operating partially, and no road closures have been reported yet. The city plans to continue monitoring weather and stream conditions.
