On August 29, Suncheon City in South Jeolla Province announced that it will offer a special 13% discount on Suncheon Love Gift Certificates throughout the month of September in celebration of the Chuseok holiday.

This special discount aims to ease the financial burden of holiday expenses for citizens and support household budgets, while also promoting spending at small businesses and neighborhood markets. In particular, the city expects that, together with the Livelihood Recovery Consumption Coupon, this initiative will serve as a catalyst for revitalizing the local economy.

Suncheon Love Gift Certificates are issued in both paper and mobile formats (card and QR). The paper certificates can be purchased at 47 branches of five local banks, including NongHyup Bank, Suncheon NongHyup, Livestock Cooperative, Horticultural Cooperative, and Dairy Cooperative. The mobile version can be recharged through the 'Local Gift Certificate chak' app. The maximum monthly purchase limit per person is 500,000 won when combining both formats, with up to 300,000 won allowed for the paper version.

A city official said, "We hope that, with the upcoming holiday, Suncheon Love Gift Certificates will be widely used at traditional markets and neighborhood businesses, making for a warm and abundant holiday season."
