400 Informatization Farmers Gather
to Strengthen Digital Capabilities
and Seek Agricultural Innovation
Goryeong County announced on August 29 that it hosted the "2025 Gyeongsangbuk-do Informatization Farmers Advancement Conference" at the County Citizens’ Gymnasium and Daegaya Culture Nuri from August 27 to 28.
This conference was organized to strengthen the capabilities of informatization farmers and to seek new directions to lead the development of agriculture and rural communities. A total of 400 people attended, including approximately 350 informatization farmers active in various cities and counties of North Gyeongsang Province and 50 related officials.
The event began on the morning of the 27th with a performance by the Cheonma Cheerleading Team from Gumi University. During the opening ceremony, a total of 25 awards were presented by officials from the provincial government, National Assembly, Goryeong County Governor, National Agricultural Cooperative Federation, and Korea Rural Community Corporation, boosting participants’ morale through welcoming and congratulatory speeches. In the afternoon, there were activities such as an OX quiz to promote unity among cities and counties, a harmony festival, and an information exchange event. Exhibition booths featuring outstanding local agricultural and specialty products from each city and county showcased a variety of agricultural products, processed goods, and experiential items.
On the second day, the 28th, a special lecture on "Strengthening Informatization Farmers’ Marketing Capabilities" was held at Daegaya Culture Nuri. The session provided practical training on online distribution and digital marketing strategies, receiving positive feedback from participants for enhancing their management skills.
Namchul Lee, Goryeong County Governor, stated, "Enhancing the digital capabilities of informatization farmers is key to strengthening agricultural competitiveness," and added, "We will continue to actively support innovation and challenges among farmers in the future."
