Outpatient Clinics with Senior Specialists
to Operate Every Tuesday and Wednesday Starting Next Month
Imsil County Health and Medical Center in North Jeolla Province will operate outpatient clinics with senior specialists in family medicine and dermatology every Tuesday and Wednesday starting next month.
According to the county on August 28, the senior doctor system aims to have experienced, elderly specialists return to the medical field to contribute to the health of the local community by utilizing the knowledge and expertise they have accumulated over the years.

With the recruitment of these senior doctors, county residents will now be able to access customized medical services such as prevention and treatment of skin diseases and management of chronic illnesses closer to home.
In particular, the recruitment of specialists in family medicine and dermatology will allow for comprehensive health assessments of residents, from management of chronic skin conditions to overall health evaluations. By supporting lifestyle improvements and preventive health management, this is expected to have a positive impact on the health standards of the local community.
Imsil County Health and Medical Center is faithfully fulfilling its role as a public healthcare institution dedicated to the health management and promotion of county residents. The center provides a range of public health services, including disease prevention, operation of the Dementia Relief Center and Mental Health Welfare Center, rehabilitation therapy rooms and mobile rehabilitation vehicles, smoking cessation and nutrition management, and customized home health care for infants, mothers, and low-income families.
In addition, by securing excellent medical staff, the center operates departments of internal medicine, Korean medicine, dentistry, pediatrics, emergency room, and physical therapy, as well as conducting health checkup programs, vaccination, and infectious disease management projects.
