Samhyun to Build Ultra-Precision Manufacturing AI Ecosystem for Global Use... Strengthening Robot Competitiveness

Samhyun, a company specializing in motion control, announced on August 28 that it has been selected as the final participant in the Physical Manufacturing AI Support Project (PINN Model Manufacturing Convergence Data Collection and Demonstration Project) organized by the Ministry of Science and ICT.

Samhyun will work on developing a PINN (Physics-Informed Neural Network) model based on a Large Action Model (LAM) and establishing a manufacturing field convergence data collection system. Through pilot demonstrations, the company aims to verify the core technology of the PL-LAM (Physics Intelligence Action Model) and build an ultra-precision manufacturing AI ecosystem that can be utilized in the global market.

In this project, Samhyun will leverage its field automation technology and mobility manufacturing experience, which were gained through the production of precision motors, controllers, and reducers, to carry out core areas such as establishing a convergence data collection system for manufacturing, developing and demonstrating the PINN model, and verifying simulations based on digital twins. Samhyun plans to advance ultra-precision motor control and process optimization technologies that incorporate AI across the entire manufacturing process, thereby contributing to strengthening the competitiveness of domestic robot and mobility manufacturing.

This project will be carried out jointly with an industry-academia-research consortium, including the Kyungnam University Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation. The project period runs from August to December 2025, and the government support amounts to approximately 19.2 billion KRW.

A Samhyun representative stated, "By participating in the PINN Model Manufacturing Convergence Data Collection and Demonstration Project, we will have an opportunity to apply and materialize next-generation manufacturing AI innovation strategies," and emphasized, "Through collaboration with the government and various industry-academia-research institutions, we will secure competitiveness in the global market and contribute to enhancing national competitiveness."
