The Gwangju Bar Association has begun providing on-site legal consultations for residents of Sinan-dong, Buk-gu, who were affected by the heavy rainfall in July.

On August 27, the Gwangju Bar Association announced that it had formed a legal support team and officially launched activities to assist affected residents.

The legal support team held its first on-site legal consultation session for 15 residents on August 22 on the second floor of the education center at Sinan Church in Buk-gu. Prior to this, the support team had visited the affected sites in person and determined that urgent legal advice was needed.

The second on-site consultation will be held at the same location on August 29 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Any Gwangju citizen who needs legal assistance due to flood damage is eligible for consultation.

Park Cheol, head of the legal support team, said, "I hope the consultations organized by the Gwangju Bar Association will help, even in a small way, the recovery of the affected residents."
